OS OpenData CodePoint Open for UK Postcode lookup

As part of the Ordnance Survey OpenData release (April 2010) there is a data set called CodePoint Open (20 MB) that associates full UK postcodes to an OSGB36 Northing/Easting of the centroid of the set of buildings that share each unique postcode. Integrating this free, reusable data into Google Maps would allow searches (for example "NG4 2JY") to return considerably more useful locations than they currently do. (via google maps forum) See more on the OS website
